Honourable Delano Seiveright is the Member of Parliament for St. Andrew North Central and serves as State Minister in the Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce. He is a public policy and communications strategist with extensive experience in government, investment promotion, tourism development and stakeholder engagement.
Over the years, Seiveright has held several senior advisory and leadership roles within the Government of Jamaica, including Senior Advisor and Strategist in the Ministry of Tourism, where he played an active role in advancing tourism linkages, investment facilitation and destination development initiatives. He has also served on a number of public sector boards and entities, including the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB), JAMPRO, the Cannabis Licensing Authority (CLA), National Insurance Fund (NIF), Tourism Product Development Company (TPDCo), Jamaica Information Service (JIS), Wigton Windfarm Limited, the Trade Board Limited and the Postal Corporation of Jamaica.
In Parliament, he serves on the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), the Internal and External Affairs Committee, and the Economy and Production Committee, contributing to national policy oversight and economic development discussions.
Seiveright is widely recognised for his work in investment promotion, business facilitation, manufacturing development, tourism linkages and community engagement. His advocacy has consistently focused on strengthening Jamaica’s business environment, expanding economic opportunity, supporting entrepreneurship and advancing sustainable national development.
A former President of Generation 2000 (G2K), he has also worked in media and public affairs as a radio talk show host, columnist and communications consultant.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the The University of the West Indies and a Master of Science degree in Public Policy and Management from the University of London. He is a past student of Calabar High School and is the proud father of two children.
